Maybe it's time to cut back on the news feed spamming and begin the scribbling?

Goodness!
I'd actually forgotten all about this space. So much of my randomness spills into facebook these days, that I never bothered.

The Spree
The spree has ended. Extremely enjoyable, I must say. Three days, thirty three levels!
Now it's time to back off a bit and go on in a controlled fashion. 12 Hours a day is really unsustainable.

Ethereal
Are we really in the middle of the A levels?
Is this what it's supposed to feel like?
I would've expected it to be far more 'bang. ow.' and concrete than this. I just feel like I'm doing Common Test 3 or something.

Cracking Security
How is a login system typically cracked?
#1 is your fault. Not mine. The system is secure, you are not.
Now, #2 means passwords are inherently insecure, for they can simply be grabbed from the server.
Thus, the server must not know the exact passphrase, but must be able to verify that it is valid. Simplest way I can think of is to have something like "let me in if i give you a 12-digit prime number". The problem begins when this information is unique to each account..
Is this why information security is such a big business?
- You give out the information
- It's taken off the storage of the server

Long-lost Friend
My dear, dear WoW, I miss you so~
I haven't touched the game in 23 months. And yet, I still can't wait to start playing it again. The things a game as lovely as WoW can do to your brain are mind-boggling, to say the least.
On another note, I'd like a PSP after the A levels end. I wonder how I'm going to milk that out..
Countdown: 31 Days to the end.
